How to eliminate the error message stating sfc can only be used by an administrator running a console session. Run Command Prompt as administrator to fix this issue.

  1. In Windows 10, type Command Prompt into the search box and select the most relevant result.
  2. Then pick the one that’s most appropriate.
  3. To continue, right-click it and select “Run as administrator.”

You Must Be An Administrator Running A Console Session

The elevated CMD option can be set as the default after you resolve the issue that you must be an administrator when running a console session.
