Cenat has 3.54 million subscribers on YouTube and 4.8 million followers on Twitch as of this writing. He now has 297 videos online.

The online sensation was born to Haitian parents in New York City in 2001. From an early age, he wanted to be a comedian, and he began sharing stand-up routines on social media while still in middle school.

Cenat started at Morrisville State College in August of 201 to study Business Administration, but he did not finish his degree because he could not balance schoolwork with his need to create content.

Streaming Profession:

In January of 2018, Cenat uploaded his first video to YouTube, and shortly thereafter, a fellow Bronx-born YouTuber named Fanum spotted him and invited him to join the AMP (Any Means Possible) YouTube club.

He began streaming on Twitch in February 2021 and quickly garnered a large fan base, which was bolstered by the appearances of various famous people. Cenat was nominated for two Streamys at the 12th annual ceremony in December 2022, and he ended up taking home the trophy for Streamer of the Year.

In addition, he appeared in Lil Uzi Vert’s video for the song “Just Wanna Rock.” Cenat began a month-long subscription marathon in January 2023; on February 28, 2023, he reached a peak of 306,621 subscribers and became the most subscribed Twitch streamer in history.

Cenat was named Streamer of the Year at the Streamer Awards 2023, held on March 11, 2023. On March 15, a documentary on his career and subathon named 30 Days appeared on YouTube. Not only did he make his acting debut in Polo G’s single “Distraction,” but in May of 2022, he also released his own first track, “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche,” which featured NLE Choppa.

Controversies

There have been some scandals surrounding Kai Cenat throughout his career as well. TikToker Jovi Pena claimed in January 2023 that he did not intervene when she was attacked at his New Year’s Eve party.

The TikToker stated that Djigui Seck, a fellow partygoer, assaulted her while she slept in an upstairs room at Cenat’s recommendation. The streamer eventually addressed the charges in one of his videos, explaining that he had known Sech since they were in elementary school but had been unaware of the alleged assault until after it had happened at his party.
