The eighth season of Below Deck has been revealed, including a major cast reshuffle and the return of an original cast member.
After a brief hiatus, the reality series will return to Bravo and hayu on November 3, allowing UK viewers to watch and download new episodes the same day they are made available in the US.
Eddie Lucas, who hasn’t seen on the ship since season three, is returning. As the mega-yacht My Seanna makes its way around the Caribbean, he’s returning to keep things ship-shape after earning his 1600-ton licence.
Regular Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain, who left the programme after season 7’s filming completed, is another notable change.
Despite the fact that she had been a member of every season since season 2, Kate has landed a hosting role on Bravo’s Chat Room.

A Brief Description of the Below Deck Series
On July 1, 2013, the trio of Mark Cronin, Rebecca Taylor Henning, and Doug Henning aired their first American reality show, Below Deck, on Bravo.
When it was first announced in April of this year, Below Deck recounts what it’s like to work and live on board a superyacht throughout charter season.
Below Deck Will Be Back In November
Below Deck has eager viewers preparing to drop their anchors, i.e. their bodies, in their chairs. Season 8 will begin on Bravo on November 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
Season 8 of the show premiered in October of last year, which means it’s a little over a year late.
A new season of Below Deck (and other series) is exciting when you consider all of the episodes that have been delayed due to the coronavirus.
However, other performances have found a way around COVID-19’s industry-wide shutdown and harsh limitations, like Below Deck.
Below Deck Season 8 Is Taking Place Around the Caribbean
Margot Robbie isn’t the only one who plans to visit the Caribbean. Similarly to the Robbie-led Pirates of the Caribbean revival, Below Deck is already prepping its Caribbean voyage.
Once again, you can expect to be awed by the Caribbean’s awe-inspiring landscapes. Fans of Bravo’s reality series Below Deck may remember that they went on a Caribbean charter in Season 1 and Season 5.
How do I Watch Below Deck?
hayu, a subscription-based video streaming service specialising in reality and true crime television, will have the eighth season of Below Deck available.
Following the free trial, you’ll pay £4.99 each month for the service.
For £3.99 each month, you may buy a hayu subscription on Amazon. You can join up for a free 30-day trial on Amazon here.
Eddie Lucas Is Back
After a hiatus from Below Deck, Eddie Lucas will make a victorious return, as many fans will undoubtedly expect.
After a harrowing journey in Season 3, Lucas decided to leave the programme. He’s ready to get back into it now that five seasons have passed.
There is a romance subplot in the works, isn’t there? Or are there calmer waters ahead for Lucas on that front?
The audience will have to be on the lookout for more information. According to Bravos’ The Daily Dish, Eddie Lucas is now a bosun, and the trailer showed him having a good time.
There are several Bachelorette competitors he might want to avoid copying. Eddie should be wiser now than he was in Season 3 five seasons ago.
Below Deck Season 8 Will Have Lots Of New Faces
In the Below Deck teaser, Captain Lee hinted at the introduction of a new staff, including a cook and a chief stew.
As a result, there will be a lot of new faces on board the luxury ship. As the new chief stewardess, Francesca Rubi has been chosen. Both Isabelle Wouters and Elizabeth Frankini will be stewardesses.
Izzy is going to be having a lot of fun flirting with another shipmate, it appears. In a second, I’ll talk about that. James Hough and Shane Coopersmith will serve as acting deckhands for the time being.
Soon, viewers will be able to watch where their hands land as Below Deck’s season debuts in the stunning Caribbean region.
Below Deck Season 8 Cast
Although Eddie Lucas, the bosun who starred in the first three series of Captain Lee Rosbach, is returning for the eighth season, the rest of the ensemble is new.
However, long-time Head Stewardess Kate Chastain will not be appearing in the next series after exiting season seven.
This is surprising. During season two, Kate served as Captain Lee’s Chief Stew and has since hosted Bravo’s Chat Room.
Instead, we’ll be flying under the watchful eye of new arrival Francesca Rubi, an Australian who can be seen in the first-look video.
She seen telling departing stewardess Elizabeth Frankini: “I am your boss, I can be your superior, it’s really p****d me off.”
Rachel Hargrove, Isabelle ‘Izzy’ Wouters, James Hough, and Shane Coopersmith will join them.
What will Happen in Below Deck Season 8?
The eighth season of Below Deck will take place on the superyacht My Seanna, where Captain Lee will take a variety of charter customers on a tour of the Caribbean.
A testimonial from Lee reads, “We’ve got a new crew. New chef. New chief stew.” We’re shown footage of the new cast members acclimating to the ship.
Some of these guests are shown skinny-dipping in an on-board hot tub before eating sushi from a naked individual in the trailer, while the film hints potential relationships between some crew members.
The possibility of a romance between the new Chief Stew Francesca Rubi and James has been brought up recently, and it appears that he is looking forward to seeing her this season.
There Will Be Wild Times In Season 8
Kim Cattrall agreed to star in the first Sex and the City movie, which appears in the Below Deck Season 8 promo.
Sushi and leaves are all that separate one woman from the rest of her dinner party guests.
Captain Lee laments the lack of clothing worn by one individual on the ship, while another observes a potential conflict over water marks on plates.
There will also be a lot of romance on board, which could cause the ship to rock for a variety of different reasons.
In the trailer, viewers learn that the hot tub is the scene of a lot of action, and that information is sure to spread.
There Could Be Firings in Below Deck Season 8
Captain Lee announced in the Season 8 teaser that firings would begin soon. A lot of people have strong feelings following the event.
Is it possible that these will be implemented? The answer is found below deck. The logistics of conducting a shipboard firing are bound to be challenging.
Who escorts the sacked employee out of the building? Someone can’t just walk off the set and into dry land like they can on The View.
As the Covid-19 pandemic rages on land, who will be let go on the broad sea? Season 8 of Below Deck will chronicle the tale of how these probable firings affect the show.
