After the settlement had been reached, Amazon had been asked, or they have rather made a promise that they will provide the exact number of Covid 19 cases from the workplace and they will be notified one day before about the Covid 19 cases.
This is said to us by the attorney general of California, who told this to the media on Monday. Amazon also had to notify the local health agency too about any of the new Covid cases within the time frame of 48 hours, and it is either that, or they have to pay a fine of 500,000 dollars.
Talk about a huge sum of money. It is indeed an agreement that had been reached regarding the claim, and we are still waiting for the court’s approval on this. We hope that this turns out well and good than expected. We have also heard from an Amazon spoke person about the matter and the feelings of the company on closing this claim.
